Part A of building permits

• 1210060 – Thorsplan, temporary permit for the 2012 Christmas Village

  Ásbjörg Una Björnsdóttir, on behalf of the Office of Culture and Tourism, requests to set up the Christmas village on Thorsplan in accordance with the attached documents.

  The Planning and Building Officer permits the installation of a Christmas village, provided that the houses are taken down between Christmas and New Year, and that the installation of the Christmas village is in full consultation with the Planning and Building Department and in accordance with the available drawings.

• 1210189 – Krýsuvík, photoshoot at Seltún.

  In an email dated 8 October, Ómar Jabali, on behalf of the film production company Comrade Film, requests to film a foreign short film at Seltún in Krýsuvík on 10 October.

  The permit is granted on the condition of good stewardship, causing as little disturbance as possible, and that anything disturbed will be put right. As the Krýsuvík area lies within the Reykjanes National Park, which is protected under the Nature Conservation Act, special care must be taken not to cause pollution, damage or adverse environmental effects. Please note that the area is located at Seltún, a very active area of volcanic craters and boreholes. The Municipality of Hafnarfjörður accepts no liability for any damage that may result from this film production. All rubbish and debris must be removed upon completion of filming, and the area left in the same condition as it was before filming.

• 1210133 – Dalshraun 9b distribution station

  On 08.10.2012, HS Veitur hf applies to install a distribution station on the plot of land at Dalshraun 9b, in accordance with drawings by Björn Gústafsson dated 05.10.2012. Also enclosed is the consent of Gunnar Þór Gíslason for the placement of the distribution station on the boundary of the plot of land for Dalshraun 11.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with Article 11 of the Building Regulations No. 160/2010. The distribution station will be a separate unit, No. 02, and a new registration plan must be submitted accordingly, together with a property partition agreement.

• 1209240 – Fururás 4, alteration

  Örn Arnarson applied on 13 September 2012 for alterations to the kitchen, toilet and entrance hall, in accordance with drawings by Friðrik Friðriksson dated 6 June 2012. Amended drawings were received on 2 October 2012.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with Article 11 of the Buildings Act no. 160/2010.

Part B: Organisational Matters

• 1106205 – 12-setja gamalt hús á lóð in Hverfisgata

  Sigurður Jónsson, by letter dated 27 June 2011, applies for the plot at Hverfisgata 12, under an old house built in 1894. New documents were received on 10 October 2012.

  The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Planning and Building Committee.

• 1210075 – Krýsuvík, sled dog sport.

  Páll Ingi Haraldsson, chairman of the Reykjavík branch of Draghundasport Iceland, requests in an email dated 4 October 2012 to compete in a dog sled race on 13 October, which involves dogs pulling a person on a bicycle in Krýsuvík. This event is scheduled to take place between 12 and 2 pm.

  The Planning and Building Officer gives a positive response to the request, as the Police and the Krýsuvík Association have been informed of this event. It should be noted that as the Krýsuvík area is within the Reykjanes Nature Reserve, which is protected under nature conservation law, special care must be taken not to cause pollution, damage or negative environmental impact. The City of Hafnarfjörður accepts no liability for any damage that may result from this competition.

• 1210094 – Dalshraun 5 illegal habitation plot 04 0301 and 04 0302

  There have been indications of an unauthorised flat and illegal occupation at Dalshrauni 5, 3rd floor, building sections 0301 and 0302. The building is in a business zone, so residential use is not permitted, and a previous application for this purpose was refused.

  The Planning and Building Officer requests clarification from the owners within three weeks.

• 1210088 – Kríuás 1, mobile classrooms building permit

  Application dated 04/10/12 to build mobile classrooms at Norðurhella 2 for relocation to Kríuás 1.

  The Planning and Building Officer has deferred the matter as the submitted documents are insufficient. Please see the attached comments.

• 1210204 – Furuás 8-10 and 23-25 and 27, enquiry regarding a change to the building envelope for a semi-detached house and a terraced house.

  Lautasmári ehf submits an enquiry dated 10.10.2012 regarding a change to the building envelope for a semi-detached house at Furuás 8-10 and a terraced house at Furuás 23-25 and 27.

  The Planning and Building Officer has deferred the application as it did not comply with the local plan. Please see the attached comments.
