Part A of building permits

• 1207325 – Sólvangsvegur 3. Residential care flats for the elderly

  On 31 July 2012, Höfn Geriatric Centre applied for permission to convert the health centre at Sólvangsvegur 3 into flats, in accordance with drawings by Hilmar Þór Björnsson, registration no. 280845-3109. Corrected drawings were received on 16 August 2012.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with the Act on Buildings No. 160/2010.

• 1207275 – Sléttahraun 14, balcony extension

  On 26.07.12, Helgi G. Kristinsson applies to extend the balcony in accordance with drawings by Emil Þór Guðmundsson dated 20.07.12. Corrected drawings were received on 15.08.2012.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with the Act on Buildings No. 160/2010.

• 1207321 – Óseyrarbraut 6, working drawings, alteration to fire walls

  Gudmundur Á Tryggvason submitted test drawings for a change to the fire walls on 31/07/12, in accordance with the drawings by Sigurþór Aðalsteinson dated 09/02/12. New drawings were received on 20/08/2012.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with the Act on Buildings No. 160/2010.

Part B: Organisational Matters

• 1208168 – Skipalón 5, building permit

  Fjarðarmót applies on 14 August 2012 to build a 32-unit block of flats with a fifth-floor balcony and a covered car park, in accordance with the drawings by Sigurlaug Sigurjónsdóttir dated 14 August 2012.

  The planning and building officer refers the matter to the planning and building committee. See attached comments.

• 0905032 – Tjarnarbraut 29, industrial premises on the plot

  A complaint has been received regarding a shelter that has been erected on the plot, along with an illegal occupation.

  The Planning and Building Officer advises the owners that residential occupation is not permitted in industrial premises. There is no building permit for the shelter, and it must be removed without delay, otherwise daily fines will be imposed in accordance with the Act on Construction Works No. 160/2010.

• 1208140 – Öldugata 9. Enquiry about adding a dormer to the roof

  Jón Óskarsson, Öldugötu 9, submits an enquiry dated 13 August 2012 to add a dormer to the roof in accordance with the attached documents.

  The Planning and Building Officer points out that, according to the approved detailed plan, a gable may not be larger than two-thirds of the house's roof pitch. See the attached comments.

• 1207226 – Fagraberg 38, Extension

  On 19 July 2012, Jóhann Sigurðsson applied to build an extension to 38 Fagraberg, in accordance with drawings by Hildur Bjarnadóttir dated 1 June 2012. Revised drawings were received on 17 August 2012.

  The Planning and Building Officer has deferred the matter as the submitted documents are insufficient. Please see the attached comments.
