The proposal of 29.08.13 from Batteríið ehf for the area's detailed plan was reconsidered.
Following a review by the planning and building department of how car parking is managed at sports facilities in neighbouring municipalities, On the one hand, the Fífan in Kópavogur and on the other, Laugardalsvöllur in Reykjavík, it is clear that the current number of spaces at the Kaplakriki sports complex will in no way be considered acceptable when compared to the standards used in the aforementioned areas and given the development envisaged by the detailed plan.The outline planning proposal provides for. For this reason, the proposal cannot be approved as is, and the Director of the Department is instructed to request discussions with the applicants regarding the implementation of the car park and the prioritisation of development in light of the scale of construction in the area. Furthermore, the opinion of the Capital Region Fire and Rescue Service will be sought regarding the plans for emergency access.

1310308 – Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður, amendment to the area at Ásbraut
A proposal from the Planning and Building Department for an amendment to the 2005-2025 Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður, concerning the area north of Ásbraut between Tjarnarvellir and Selhællu, was discussed. It is proposed that the land use be changed from mixed use (public institutions) and open space for special purposes to an industrial area, linking it to the Selhraun area to the north.
The Planning and Building Committee approves that the proposal for the amendment to the 2005-2025 Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður, with the amendments made, be advertised in accordance with Article 31 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010, and makes the following recommendation to the Town Council:$line$“Hafnarfjörður Town Council approves that the proposal for an amendment to the Hafnarfjörður 2005-2025 Master Plan, concerning the area north of Ásbraut between Tjarnarvellir and Selhæll, be advertised in accordance with Article 31 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010.“

Street names
A proposal from the Planning and Building Department regarding the naming of a section of a street and several roundabouts in Hafnarfjörður was considered.
The Planning and Building Committee rejects the renaming of a section of Suðurvangur as it would not simplify the street layout in the area.The proposal from the department to extend Flókagata to a roundabout at the corner of Vesturgata and Herjólfsgata is approved.

1006284 – Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður: comprehensive revision.
The steering group's proposal for the revision of the 2005-2025 Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður was reconsidered. Revised report and outline plan. The proposal was sent for consultation to the councils and committees of Hafnarfjörður. Submissions from the town council, the family council, the harbour board and the director of administration were presented.
The Planning and Building Committee instructs the Director of the Department to compile the opinions of committees and boards and to propose responses to them for the next meeting, in accordance with the discussions at the meeting. The Planning and Building Committee agrees that a public information meeting on the master plan will be held in connection with the „Your Place – Our Environment“ workshop on Thursday, 14 November.

The 2014 budget for the Department of Planning and Building is to be discussed again.
The Planning and Building Committee refers the budget for the Planning and Building Department to the first reading of the Hafnarfjörður Town Council.

A report by Sigurður H. Magnússon, a vegetation ecologist at the Icelandic National Museum of Natural History: Heavy Metals and Sulphur in Mosses in Iceland 1990-2010: The Effects of Industrial Plants.
The Planning and Building Committee concurs with the minutes of the joint meeting of the Town Council and the Environment and Operations Committee of 18 October 2013.

0702005 – Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður, power lines and substations.
The Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources' opinion on the laying of the line through a wellhead area at Mygludali was presented. The Director of the Department reported on a meeting held between himself and the Director of Water Supply with representatives from Garðabær and Landsnet.
As the review of the master plan for water protection in the capital region is currently underway, SBH considers it appropriate to receive an overview of the work and for a specific discussion to be held on the potential impact of the aforementioned ruling on the definition of water protection in the area.

1308268 – Krýsuvík - Seltún, detailed plan
An update was presented on the progress of the work on the area's masterplan and detailed planning. Yngvi Þór Loftsson, a representative of Landmótun, attended the meeting.
The Planning and Building Committee thanks the presenter and agrees to send the submitted statement of assessment for publication and consultation. The Planning and Building Committee makes the following recommendation to the Town Council: “The Town Council of Hafnarfjörður approves that the planning statement for the Seltún detailed plan be sent for advertisement and consultation in accordance with Article 40 of the Planning Act no. 123/2010.“
