Cleaning and care
A beautiful and safe local environment makes everyone feel better.
Street sweeping
To keep the town's streets clean and tidy, they are swept in the spring and autumn, and whenever necessary.
When is it swept?
Every year, the town's streets are swept in the spring and autumn. Additionally, the main thoroughfares are swept monthly, weather permitting, and extra sweeping is carried out as required.
In the spring, the car parks on the town's main roads are swept and the traffic islands are cleaned.
Spring cleaning
Spring sweeping is carried out between 1 April and 1 June, depending on the weather. The town is divided into 15 districts, and each district is swept on a single day.
Autumn sweeping
Autumn sweeping is carried out once the leaves have fallen and is often a fine line between autumn and winter. It is swept as late as possible in September–October.
Classes and paths
Pavements are swept every spring. We try to start as early as possible in the period from 20 April to 1 June, and it takes about 20 days. The town centre is swept four times over the summer. Additional sweeps of the pavements are carried out as required.
A sign is put up in each neighbourhood the day before, announcing that the street will be swept the following day. A large and a small broom are used.
