A great venue and a fantastic audience – Jóli Hólm at Bæjarbíó

Sóli Hólm appeared as Jóli Hólm during Advent.

Entertainer and impressionist Soli Hólm has filled Bæjarbíó many times over the past few years, giving brilliant performances with his shows. He now took to the stage this Advent as Jóli Hólm in a brand-new show, with a tight backing from Halldór Smárason. This time, there was more music, as well as the antics in between for which Sóli is renowned. There were 25 shows leading up to Christmas, and all of them sold out.

A show that has become a tradition during Advent

„The name “Jóla Hólm' came about a few years ago and I was always on my way to putting a show together to be able to use it. I managed it, and there was no other venue in mind but Bæjarbíó, because the energy there is absolutely amazing, the hall is great and the audience is fantastic. This venue somehow chose me, and Palli Eyjólfs, the landlord at Bæjarbíó, has been great to me. I think he has even more faith in me than I do myself." Sóli says, laughing, adding in response to a question that guests can expect to hear new impersonations mixed in with old favourites. „So I always tackle current affairs, and the more people laugh, the funnier I somehow get. It's just a good flow between me and the audience.“ This show by Jóla Hólm is expected to become a fixture at the Bæjarbíó during the Advent season in the Christmas town of Hafnarfjörður.
