Adoption of an amendment to the Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður 2013-2025 – Harbour Area
The Hafnarfjörður Town Council approved a proposal for an amendment to the 2013-2025 Hafnarfjörður Master Plan on 31 August 2022. – Harbour area, urban densification – South Harbour, Flensburg Harbour and Hamar Harbour. The proposal was advertised from 16 March to 27 April 2022. pursuant to the 1st paragraph of Article 36 of the Planning Act no. 123/2010 and pursuant to the Act on Environmental Assessment of Plans and Projects no. 111/2021. Comments were received and a response from the town council has been sent to those who submitted them. The comments did not provide cause for changes to the proposal, and it has been sent to the Planning Authority for approval. Proposal for an amendment to the 2013-2025 Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður
Harbour area – urban densification South Harbour, Flensburg Harbour and Hamar Harbour
Hafnarfjörður Town Council hereby announces a proposal for an amendment to the Hafnarfjörður Master Plan 2013-2025, in accordance with section 1 of article 36 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010.
The change consists of the South Harbour H1 becoming partly the residential area IB15 and the central areas M6 and M7. Flensburg Harbour H2 is changed to the central area M5. A new small boat harbour and a 5m coastal strip will become H6.
The amendment proposal, together with the environmental report, will be on display at the Service Centre of Hafnarfjörður at 6 Strandgata, at the Department of Environment and Planning of Hafnarfjörður at 2 Norðurhellu, and at the Planning Authority at 7b Borgartún in Reykjavík from 16.03. to 27.04.2022.
