During the winter holidays, there will be a block workshop where we will play with wooden blocks, dress them up and give them a name. The materials are wood and textiles, and the possibilities for the outcome are endless.
You can arrange different shapes into animals, using wooden blocks and various textiles to give them features like a patterned coat, a tassel or a tail. Where does your imagination take you?
Hanna Jónsdóttir runs the workshop; she is an art teacher and product designer who places great emphasis on resourcefulness and utility. From a young age, she has been a keen observer of the behaviour of people and animals, and has made a habit of moving things from one place to another with the aim of giving them a new purpose.
