On Friday, 14th April, Halldór Árni Sveinsson opens a painting exhibition at the Litla Gallerý, 11 Strandgata.

The formal opening will be held on that day between 17:00 and 19:00, and everyone is most welcome.

The exhibition features new oil paintings by Halldór Árni, painted this year and last, as well as some oil pastel drawings. The subject matter is the town and its surroundings, as Halldór is moving back to the Fjord after living elsewhere for a long time.

Halldór Árni is a trained visual artist and illustrator from the Iceland Academy of the Arts, and taught painting for over three decades at the Hafnarfjörður Adult Education Centre and elsewhere. He has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions. Most of the works on display are for sale.

The exhibition is open over two weekends, as follows:;

Friday 14 April, from 13:00 – 19:00,
Saturday 15th April, from 12:00 – 17:00
Sunday, 16th April, from 14:00 – 17:00

Wednesday 20th April, the first day of summer, from 12:00 – 17:00

Friday 21 April, from 13:00 – 18:00,
Saturday 22nd April, from 12:00 – 17:00
Sunday 23rd April, from 14:00 – 17:00.
