The Kids' Triathlon and Junior Sprint Triathlon 3SH will be held on Sunday, 4th June 2023 at 12:30 at Ásvallalaug. The triathlon includes swimming, cycling, and running.

  • 5-6 years old (2017-2018): 16m swim in a shallow pool; 500m bike ride; and 300m run
  • 7-9 years old (2014-2016): 33m swim in a shallow pool; 1km cycle; and 600m run
  • 10-12 years old (2011-2013): 50m swim in deep pool; 2km cycle; and 900m run
  • 13-17 years old (2006-2010): 100m swim in deep water; 3km cycle; and 1km run

Starts in age-based groups.

  • The youngest children start at 12:30 and then it's one after the other. The youngest children, aged 5-6, may swim with a noodle. You can always stop and rest if you need to.
  • Youth (2006-2010) starts at 13:10

The transition area will be on the grass next to the swimming pool. The children run from the swimming pool in their swimming costumes to the transition area, where they get into their cycling kit, shoes, and helmet.
After the bike ride, they return to the transition area, hand in the bike and helmet, and change into their running gear. Parents are allowed to cycle and run with the youngest children if they don't feel confident on their own. No entry fee – just fun. All children receive a participation medal and a goody bag.
