Auður Eysteinsdóttir opens an exhibition at the Litla Gallerý from 10th to 13th August.

A special exhibition opening will be on Thursday 10 August, 18:00–20:00 and everyone is welcome!
„Most people have at some point lain on their back and looked up at the sky, seeing the clouds move and take on all sorts of shapes. The faces that appear in my pictures are rooted in the cloud pictures I watched as a child. They usually create a connection within the image. Just like shifting cloud patterns, my images tend to change depending on how they are viewed. Many small images appear, and sometimes you have to look closely to see the overall picture. The eye spots something in the picture, perhaps a bird, a butterfly, vegetation, but in that moment another eye appears, a face... and the moment is gone.
I graduated from the Iceland Academy of the Arts and have taught art for around 25 years. In addition to teaching, I have undertaken various drawing projects, run a gallery with others, and created artwork in my spare time for my own enjoyment.“
