The arts group Kvistur will be holding a staged reading of the children's play 'Princess Raisin Wants the Moon' on Saturday, 2nd September at 13:00 at Hafnarfjörður Library.

Rúsína of Syrupia is the most demanding princess in the world. She always wants more and more. Her father, the King of Syrupia, has grown weary of her whims and longs to retire. He issues a proclamation that whoever can fulfil Princess Rusina's greatest wish, to get her a slice of the moon, will be allowed to marry her and take over the kingdom. The poor farmer's son, Marco Polo, sets off on a perilous journey to win the princess's heart.

A fun modern adventure for children and adults.

The work will be released as a podcast play on the same day and will be available on major streaming platforms. This is the eighth play in a series of podcast plays released by the theatre group. Links to the stream can be found on the group's Facebook page.
