The Comedy Theatre visits the Hafnarfjörður Library to tell stories of the life of the unique explorer and scientist Fridtjof Nansen, who was, among other things, one of the first documented men to cross the Greenland Ice Sheet. Furthermore, he is undoubtedly one of the most notable visitors in the history of the village of Thingeyri, as Nansen stayed on the eyri for a fortnight before embarking on his famous expedition to the Greenland Ice Sheet. How a small village in the Westfjords and a marine biologist from Oslo are connected… well, that's quite a story to tell. What was Nansen doing here all that time? It all comes to light in this unique play, which was a great success when it was last performed.

The narrator and author is Elfar Logi Hannesson.

The director is Marsibil G. Kristjánsdóttir
