A time of anticipation and joy, but also of sadness for some.
For most people, Christmas is a time of anticipation and joy, but it can also be a difficult time, especially for those who have lost a loved one. Ína Lóa Sigurðardóttir from the Bereavement Centre will give a talk about grief and the upcoming Christmas period, offering various coping strategies that can be useful for those who are bereaved at this time. The talk will be streamed on the City of Hafnarfjörður's Facebook page on 6 December at 12 noon. The Bereavement Centre provides support, education and advice to bereaved people and those who work with them.
The talk can be found on the City of Hafnarfjörður's Facebook page. The talk will be available for all interested on the Facebook page until 14 January 2024.
Part of enhancing residents' well-being
This initiative by the City of Hafnarfjörður is part of promoting the health of the residents of Hafnarfjörður and friends of the city, and aligns with the health policy that the municipality formulated in 2016. One of the three overarching goals of the health strategy is to find ways and solutions to enhance the well-being of residents. Here, in collaboration with the Bereavement Centre at St. Jó's Wellbeing Centre.
