The Regional Marketing Agencies' Convention is an annual travel conference held by the Regional Marketing Agencies.

The Marketing Agencies' Convention is a promotional platform. the tourism industry in the countryside and opportunities to hold meetings for industry professionals.

The aim and purpose of the event is to create a platform where regional companies have the opportunity to present their services and product range to tourism providers based in the capital region. Iceland has a great deal to offer, and networking events help to build connections within the tourism industry. Attendees at these events have the opportunity to find out what the different regions of the country have to offer.

There are six Regional Marketing Offices (MAS) in total: in Westland, the Westfjords, North West, East, Reykjanes and South West Iceland.

Their role is to coordinate marketing and promotional matters in the tourism industry, handle publishing, the reception of journalists, as well as direct marketing and work on tourism product development.

The marketing boards work in cooperation with companies in the industry, tourism organisations, business development associations, local authorities and other stakeholders.

The regional marketing boards work with around 900 companies and local authorities across the country. The City of Hafnarfjörður is a member of the Capital Region Marketing Board.
