Midsummer's Night is celebrated at the end of June, but why couldn't we do it in May? The Midsummer Night is associated with a number of activities and rituals, such as gathering herbs and flowers and decorating people, animals and homes with them, entering the water, bathing, being doused with water, lighting bonfires, dancing, singing, jumping through fire, witch-hunting, or sending wreaths afloat on the water, and this is what we will be doing at our workshop.

Weaving and sending wreaths afloat is a custom today intended primarily for young women and men. Girls throw wreaths, which they have specially woven for Midsummer Night, into the river's current, in this way sending away old, unfulfilled or unhappy feelings. The workshops are for anyone who would like to say goodbye to something in their life in this symbolic way, in order to make room for new things.
On 18 May 2024, from 12 pm to 3 pm, we will be weaving wreaths together and talking about the customs and fortune-telling associated with Midsummer's Night.
We warmly invite you.
