In my view: Shadow Theatre – a multilingual storytelling workshop
On Sunday 11 October from 1 pm to 3 pm, Hafnarborg and GETA are hosting a multilingual storytelling workshop where participants will create characters and tell…
A proper cultural festival will be held at Hafnarborg on the last day of winter. It will be announced which Hafnarfjörður resident is to receive the title of Artist of the City of Hafnarfjörður for 2024, and cultural and heritage fund grants will be presented. Musicians from among the grant recipients will perform at the ceremony.
The ceremony is open to all and begins at 5 p.m. in the main hall of Hafnarborg. The recipients of the cultural grants are individuals, cultural groups or organisations, all of whom have one thing in common: a connection to Hafnarfjörður in one way or another. Cultural and Tourism Grants from the City of Hafnarfjörður are awarded twice a year to individuals and projects likely to further enrich and deepen the city's cultural life. Grants from the Building Preservation Fund are for the maintenance and renovation of older buildings in the city.
Musicians from among the grant recipients will perform music during the ceremony, and light refreshments will be served afterwards.
