The strength and vibrancy of the arts scene in Hafnarfjörður is reflected in the event Walk into Town on Friday, 7th June at 18-21 when artists, designers and craftspeople open their studios to visitors, and museums and shops in the town centre will be open late. There will also be food trucks at Thorsplan.
- Gára Handicrafts, Fornubúðir 8. Beautiful handmade pottery by six female potters.

- RAMBA, 10 Fornubúðum A shop with specially selected, high-quality designer and homeware.
- ÆGIR220, 90 Standgata. Open at Ægi on 'Walk in the Town' from 5 pm to 8.30 pm. Concert by the band Möllett at 9 pm.
- Genau Studio, 43 Strandgata. The sisters Katrín Þórey Gullsmiður and Elísabet María, a fashion designer, give a warm welcome to guests.

- Hafnarborg, 34 Strandgata. The following exhibitions are currently on display at the museum. Cassioopeia by Gudny Gudmundsdottir and At times and at all times, which features works by Arna Óttarsdóttir, Leslie Roberts and Amy Brener. An expert-led tour of the exhibitions will be offered at 19:30.

- The Little Gallery, 19 Strandgata. Litla Gallerý is a Hafnarfjörður-based platform for artists who seek to present their professional art to the public, thereby becoming an active participant in Icelandic contemporary art. LG welcomes visitors to the exhibition „Amongst“ with artists Iris Ásmundar, dancer, and Nicolas Ipina, photographer and graphic designer. .

- Hafnarfjörður Library, Strandgata 1. We will have a flower swap market, so please bring a cutting. From 17:00 to 19:00 there will be face painting for children, and we will be introducing our themed boxes, which have been travelling between nurseries and schools with stories, facts and interesting things. Enjoy a lovely evening atmosphere at the Library.
- Hafnarfjörður Museum of Local History, 6 Vesturgata. Exhibition opening at 5 p.m. Themed exhibition A Village Becomes a Town; Hafnarfjörður 1960–1975. The population growth during these years and its consequences are described: the development of new neighbourhoods, new employment opportunities, an increase in schools and improved sports facilities.
As usual, there is a permanent exhibition on the town's history from its settlement to the present day, and on the top floor, a toy exhibition especially for children. Open until 21:00.. Free admission.
