The exhibition AKADEMIA opens following the spring service at Krýsuvík Church on 2nd June. The service will begin at 2 p.m. The Rector of Hafnarfjörður Church, the Reverend Jónína Ólafsdóttir, will preside at the altar, and the Reverend Sighvatur Karlsson will preach. The music for the service will be provided by the church's organist, Kári Þormar, and the soprano Sara Gríms. After the service at around 15:00, there will be a church coffee in Sveinshús, where the exhibition AKADEMIA will be opened. Those not attending the service are welcome in Sveinshús from 15:00.

On other days, the opening hours at Sveinshús are on the first Sunday of the month in the summer, from 13:00 to 17:30. As is traditional, a guided tour and refreshments are offered.

In addition, groups can visit at other times by arrangement with the museum staff.
