Saturday, 5th October at 2 p.m. will the artist Lukas Bury to offer guidance in Polish About the exhibitionto enjoy Unknown devotion which is currently on display at the museum.

On S‎The exhibition features works in a variety of media, such as paintings, sculptures and video works, by fourteen Icelandic and international artists. It is based on the idea that through art, one can find sincerity and a healing power – a kind of magic that evokes greater empathy – as we confront all kinds of feelings and experiences, such as pain and personal growth, trauma and recovery, joy and sorrow.

Lukas Bury is a visual artist of Polish and German background. He graduated with an MA in Fine Art from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2020. Lukas lives and works in Reykjavík.

In My Language is a programme of events that aims to increase access to Hafnarborg for people from diverse backgrounds by welcoming visitors in different languages. The event is a collaboration between Hafnarborg and GETU – a charity that, through a diverse range of events and social activities, seeks to promote inclusion and positive multiculturalism. The project is supported by the museum fund.

The tour is open to all interested people aged 12 and over, and no prior knowledge or background in art is required. Admission is free – all are welcome.

In my language: Unknown blessing – a guided tour of the exhibition in Polish

On Saturday, 20 April at 2 pm, artist Lukas Bury will lead A guided tour of the exhibition Unknown benefactor in Polish, which is currently on display in the museum.

The exhibition presents the works of fourteen Icelandic and international artists, working with various media, including painting, sculpture and video. The main themes of the exhibition refer to the power of art as a healing force – a kind of magic from which empathy can sprout – when we face various experiences and emotions, such as pain and personal growth, trauma and solace, joy and sadness.

Lukas Bury Lukas is an artist of Polish and German descent. He completed a Master's degree in Fine Arts at the Icelandic University of the Arts in 2020. Lukas lives and works in Reykjavik.

In my language a programme of cultural events which aims to make Hafnarborg a more accessible place for people from diverse backgrounds by welcoming visitors to the museum in different languages. The event is the result of a collaboration between Hafnarborg and the organisation GETA – a foundation for building a more tolerant and inclusive society through various events. The programme is supported by the Museum Fund.

This event is for people aged 12 and over; knowledge of art is not required. Admission is free – everyone is welcome.
