A public information meeting will be held at the Bæjarbíó, Strandgata 6, on Monday, 7th October at 17:30 regarding the amendment to the master plan for the Coda Terminal project.
The amendment to the master plan aims to define eight new industrial zones, each measuring 0.7 hectares. Each zone includes a buffer strip for CO injection.2 and water abstraction and road and pipeline connections between plots, but a 'borteigur' is a term used for an area where carbon dioxide sequestration takes place.
On each offshore site, an estimated control structure, up to 150 m2 in size and up to eight injection wells, each with a well casing. Piping between the boreholes will be underground. On the drill pads there will be a control room.2 dissolved in water and pumped down into the rock layers.
At the same time, industrial areas are defined, I3 is merged and expanded at the expense of the defined square. unbuilt area along with the need to amend two local plans and create one new local plan.
- New detailed plan for the southern part of Kapelluhraun. Four new injection sites are planned, and the pipeline routes, along with access tracks, are defined.
- Hellnahraun Detailed Plan, Phase 2, Change. The planning boundaries will be altered and a new plot defined with a building envelope north of Breiðhellu 16. Access and a utility route are shown.
- Hellnahraun Detailed Plan, Phase 3 , amendment. The planning area is enlarged and plots will be altered, a new plot is added and service lines and access to the plots are defined.
The planners will present these plans and answer questions related to the planning process. Elected representatives will also be available to answer questions, and representatives from Carbfix and EFLU will be present at the meeting.
