Sketches // Sigurjón Már Svanbergsson
Sketching is not about precision but rather about capturing the main points, form and movement on paper. To achieve this…
Art has always played a major role in Omar's life. As a young man he attended various courses and studied for several years under the painter Bjarni Jónsson.
He has taken part in various group exhibitions and has also held solo exhibitions across the country. Ómar works as a graphic designer and runs his own company in this field with his wife. Outside of work, he dedicates himself to his art with great passion, and his favourite medium is watercolours.
"The speed and tension in the watercolours, the chase for light, and the unexpected endlessly fascinate me," says Ómar. He draws inspiration for his works from his immediate surroundings, including the world of work, but above all from nature, which has always been his primary subject.
The exhibition opening will be on Thursday, 12th December from 18:00-20:00 and all are welcome!
