Beautiful, heavy snow has fallen over the last few days. The weather has slowed down journeys and travel, partly due to rubbish collection within the town's wards, and the current situation is that the collection is still behind schedule. Residents are urged to clear the snow from their refuse chutes to allow refuse collectors easy access, ensuring they can be emptied. This also applies to the large wheelie bins. If access to the bins is not clear when the refuse lorries are in the area, the bins will not be emptied until the next scheduled collection according to the refuse collection calendar.
