“Guardians of Nature” is a series of oil paintings that capture the delicate yet wild energy of nature, manifested in the form of women.

Each painting shows the dual nature of nature—its beauty and softness, but also its strength and perseverance. Like the forces of nature from which they spring, these women are life forces, shaped by the landscape that surrounds them. They merge with the ice-cold blue of glaciers, fiery lava, and the mysterious light of the northern lights, standing as guardians of a world that is both captivating and fragile.

These paintings are personal and stem from a direct experience of the effects of climate change. Seeing glaciers recede and landscapes change before her own eyes has left a profound mark on the artist's work. With this series of paintings, the viewer is invited to pause and perceive this delicate transformation of nature—how the ice melts, the light shifts, and the land evolves. The works carry a quiet warning, a call to observe, appreciate, and remember what is vanishing, to find the balance between strength and vulnerability before it is lost.

“Guardians of Nature” is a series of oil paintings that embody the delicate yet untamed spirit of the natural world, reflected through the figures of women.

Each painting captures the duality of nature—its grace and tenderness, yet also its power and resilience. Like the elements from which they emerge, these women are forces of life, shaped by the landscapes around them. They are woven into the icy blues of glaciers, the fiery glow of lava, and the ethereal dance of the northern lights, existing as guardians of a world that is both breathtaking and fragile.

These paintings are deeply personal, inspired by a direct confrontation with the effects of climate change. Witnessing glaciers recede and landscapes shift in real time has left an imprint on the artist's work. The series invites viewers to pause and acknowledge the fleeting moments of nature's transformation—the way ice melts, how light changes, how landscapes evolve. There is a quiet urgency in these pieces, a call to recognise what is slipping away and to cherish the balance between strength and vulnerability before it is lost.
