Saturday, 15th March at 2 p.m. will Hugo Llanes, an artist, will be with Guidance in Spanish About the exhibition Pause, which features works by eight artists from England and Iceland: Anna Hrund Másdóttir, Birgir Snæbjörn Birgisson, Danny Rolph, Ingibjörg Sigurjónsdóttir, Joel Tomlin, Kristin Má Pálmason, Peter Lamb and Vanessa Jackson.
The exhibition Pause focuses on art as a process and its ability to connect with the viewer and its environment. It also raises questions about what happens when we are faced with works that require us to participate, be influenced, and dwell in the moment. Works that, in their sincerity and intimacy, take risks and challenge us to slow down and immerse ourselves in the experience.
Hugo Llanes (b. 1990) is an artist who explores political and social issues in his work through the use of various media, such as performance and installations. He also frequently addresses themes such as migration, power dynamics and identity shaped by colonialism, and often invites audience participation. Hugo graduated with a Master's degree in Fine Art from the Iceland Academy of the Arts.
In My Language is a programme of events that aims to increase access to Hafnarborg for people from diverse backgrounds by welcoming visitors in different languages. The event is a collaboration between Hafnarborg and GETU – a charity that, through a diverse range of events and social activities, seeks to promote inclusion and positive multiculturalism. The project is supported by the museum fund.

On Saturday 15 March at 2:00 pm, the artist Hugo Llanes will take the guests on a guided tour of the exhibition in Spanish Hang about (titled) Remain en español), an exhibition with works by eight artists from England and Iceland: Anna Hrund Másdóttir, Birgir Snæbjörn Birgisson, Danny Rolph, Ingibjörg Sigurjónsdóttir, Joel Tomlin, Kristinn Már Pálmason, Peter Lamb and Vanessa Jackson.
Hang about A reflection on art as a process and its internal logic for connecting not only with the viewer but also with its surroundings. The exhibition raises questions about what happens when we encounter works that invite us to engage and allow ourselves to be affected, works that, in their innocence and intimacy, take risks.
