At a meeting of the Hafnarfjörður Town Council on 8 October 2025, a proposal was approved to amend the detailed plan for the south harbour in connection with plans for the construction of a Technical College on a site bounded by Óseyrargata, Fornubúðir and Cuxhavengata. A public information meeting will be held at the Department of Environment and Planning, Norðurhöll 2, on 5 November at 16:30.
