Bus route 26 changes from 7 January

Bus service on route 26 is being improved.

Some changes will be made to Route 26 from tomorrow, 7th January, the route will run through Hellnahraun in Hafnarfjörður. This is stated on the Strætó website.

The timetable will be changed, and it will no longer be necessary to book the first morning and last services of the day. Services from Ásvallalaug at 8:32, 9:02, 14:50 and 15:20 still need to be booked. The route will also be changed. It has been decided to trial this arrangement until 1st April.

• Failing stops: Stone Slab, Red Slab, Drang Slab and Single Slab
• Stops being added: Copper Slab, Tin Slab and Dofra Slab

Please note that the bus stops Berghella, Breiðhella, Gjáhella and Álfhella will be moved slightly.

It has been decided to trial this arrangement until 1 April next.

Timetable from 7 January 2026

Booking is not required for the yellow-marked services. Other services must be booked by telephone on 588 5522, at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time according to the timetable.
