Attendance at the first interview with Valdimar at Thorsplan 

The mayor moved the office outside 

Residents took the time to attend the first open discussion with Mayor Valdimar Víðisson on Friday. He moved the office to Thorsplan, where passers-by could sit down, chat, and have a coffee and a doughnut. Residents had a lot to say, and the mayor listened. 

„I'm pleased with the chat. It was both enjoyable and gave me ideas, as well as a reminder of what could be improved in our town,“ says Valdimar, who has already passed his suggestions on to the right people within the town. 

Great weather and good chat

The weather was exceptionally good on Friday. Therefore, the setup had to be moved from the splendid glasshouse to the patio outside. 

„I thank everyone who came and look forward to the next meeting. This kind of dialogue is very important; it's vital to be in good contact with residents,“ he says. 

Next meeting on Friday

The next meeting is on Friday, 23rd May between 12 pm and 2 pm. There is no need to book an appointment, just turn up. You don't have to be a certain age or discuss a specific topic. Everyone is welcome with whatever is on their mind.
