Joint special group work of youth centres
Queer meet-up in Hafnarfjörður, Better known as HHH, is a joint special interest group for youth clubs in Hafnarfjörður. It is open every Thursday at the youth club Setrinu in Setbergsskóli. In the autumn, the third year of HHH's activities began, and attendance has been good. The young people who attend the activities are both pupils in primary schools in Hafnarfjörður and from elsewhere in the capital region.
HHH's third year in office has begun
Queer meet-up in Hafnarfjörður, Better known as HHH, is a joint special interest group for youth clubs in Hafnarfjörður. It is open every Thursday at the youth club Setrinu in Setbergsskóli. Model HHH is the Queer Youth Centre in Reykjavík, where meet-ups and group activities have been going better than expected. This autumn, HHH's third year of operation began, and attendance has been good. The young people who attend the activities are both pupils in secondary schools in Hafnarfjörður and from elsewhere in the capital region.
- At HHH, a diverse group of professionals works, including a primary school teacher, a nursery school staff member, and students on the BA and M.Ed programmes in Leisure and Social Studies. All the staff have great Experience of working in organised leisure activities in Hafnarfjörður.
- In HHH, everyone is welcome, whether they identify as queer, are questioning their sexuality, or are allies of the queer community.
The clubs are organised according to interests.
HHH's youth club is open on Thursdays from 19:30 to 22:00. These sessions are for young people in the secondary school years 8 to 10. These individuals also have access to organised group activities twice a month. The group activities take place between 17:00 – 19:00 and the clubs are organised around the young people's interests. The clubs that will be on offer until Christmas are the Drag Club and the Food Club. It will be open twice a month for pupils in Years 5 to 7. These sessions will take place on alternate weeks from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The aim of the work that HHH offers is to create a safe space where children and young people have the room to flourish.

Parents, guardians, siblings and others are encouraged to find out about the activities of youth clubs and youth centres in Hafnarfjörður and to encourage their children and young people to take an active part.
