This summer, individuals and groups aged 18-25 (born 1999-2006) have the opportunity to come up with ideas for creative projects in Hafnarfjörður. Individuals and groups will have the opportunity to work on and deliver creative projects, presenting them to residents and visitors over the summer. The Creative Summer Jobs are intended as a springboard for young, local artists to develop and practise communicating their art.

The application deadline is 31 March 2024.

This summer, individuals and groups aged 18-25 (born 1999-2006) have the opportunity to come up with ideas for creative projects in Hafnarfjörður. Individuals and groups will have the opportunity to work on and deliver creative projects, and present them to residents and visitors over the summer. The Creative Summer Jobs, run as part of the Hafnarfjörður Work School in collaboration with the youth centre Hamarinn, is intended as a springboard for young, local artists to develop and practise communicating their art. Creative Summer Jobs has been a great success in recent summers and is expected to be very popular.

Consideration is given to the feasibility, diversity and originality of the projects.

Applicants must be aged 18-25. When selecting projects, consideration will be given to, among other things, the feasibility and originality of the project, the budget, the diversity of projects, the gender balance of applicants and the quality of the applications. The total number of hours is 208, and the project is expected to be completed over 8 weeks during June–July. A contract regarding the project's arrangements will be drawn up with those who are selected.
