Closure between Skogarás and Brekkuás
In the approved plan for Ásland 4, Skógarás is part of that neighbourhood and is therefore connected to its road network. As the streets connecting Skógarás to Ásvallabraut have now been tarmacked as part of the development of the road network in Ásland 4, the section between Brekkuás and Skógarás is to be closed.
The closure will take place from and including Thursday, 2 May.

Now that the roads connecting Skógarás to Ásvallabraut have been tarmacked as part of the road network development in Ásland 4, the closure between Brekkuás and Skógarás, which was used as a temporary solution during the area's infrastructure development, is to be implemented. Following the closure, residents of Skógarás will use Vörðuás to access Ásvallabraut. Signs will be erected at Brekkuás/Kaldárselsveg to serve as a reminder.
A natural gem on the southern slopes of Ásfjall
Ásland 4 is the newest development area in Hafnarfjörður, a residential district that follows on from the neighbouring areas of Ásland 3 and new housing estates in Skarðshlíð and Hamranes. The area is defined by the Ásfjall with Mógrafarhæð, which penetrates the area from the north, the residential development of Ásland 3 to the north-east, Ásvallabraut to the east and south, and new residential development in Skarðshlíð and Hamranes to the west.
