Zonal redistribution of suction
Work is carried out according to a specific schedule, which includes sweeping all neighbourhoods between 12th and 2nd May. The schedule can be seen in the image below, and residents can use it to plan sweeping on their own properties and in their immediate surroundings. The work plan is subject to change, primarily due to weather (frost) and delays with the contractor responsible for the sweeping. A kerb-sweeper (small) follows the street sweeper (large) in the neighbourhoods. The kerb-sweeper is responsible for all the street kerbs where the street sweeper cannot reach, as well as sweeping the pavements. The kerbside sweeper therefore tries to follow the same schedule as the street sweeper but may take longer to complete its work. Each neighbourhood is posted the day before to announce the sweeping will take place the following day.
