Where do you vote?

Polling stations in Hafnarfjörður for the presidential election on 1 June 2024 open at 9 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. The polling stations are Lækjarskóli, Sólvangsvegur 4, and Ásvellir Sports Centre.

At the National Register, voters can check where they are on the electoral roll for the presidential election on 1 June 2024. When a National Registration Number is entered, a name, home address and municipality are displayed. Usually, information about the polling station and polling division is also shown. The electoral register is based on the register of residents as of 24 April. A change of address after this date will not affect your registration. Vote by post

If voters are unable to vote on polling day, they can vote by post. Postal voting begins no later than 2 May. You can vote by post in advance of polling day, for example at the county registrar's office and abroad. Voters in Iceland can vote at the county governors' offices. Hafnarfjörður Returning Officer

The Returning Officers for Hafnarfjörður are Þórdís Bjarnadóttir, Hildur Helga Gísladóttir and Helena Mjöll Jóhannsdóttir. The Returning Officer's office is located at Lækjarskóli on polling day during the poll. The telephone numbers at the polling stations are: 555 0585 at Lækjarskóli and 525 8700 at Ásvellir.

The electoral roll for the presidential election in Hafnarfjörður on 1 June 2024 is available for inspection at the Hafnarfjörður Town Hall, Service Desk, Strandgata 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on all weekdays, except Fridays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., from 10 May 2024.  The electoral register for Hafnarfjörður contains 21,673 names.
