Wednesday, 7th June at 8 p.m. will Olöf Bjarnadóttir, a curator, will lead the first cultural and health walk of the summer, where selected houses designed by Guðjón Samúelsson (1887-1950), the State Architect, will be viewed. In Hafnarfjörður, one can find houses from different periods of Guðjón's career that are a major feature of the town and can be considered among its main landmarks. During the walk, some of these houses will be examined and their history reviewed. The walk will start at Flensborg, go via Skúlaskeið and the town centre, and finish at Hafnarborg.

The City of Hafnarfjörður is offering cultural and health walks every Wednesday evening this summer. Most of the walks take about an hour and start at 8 p.m., unless otherwise stated. The Cultural and Health Walks are a joint project by Hafnarborg, the Hafnarfjörður Folk Museum, the Hafnarfjörður Library and Healthy Hafnarfjörður. Participation is free and everyone is welcome.
