Hafnarfjörður welcomes Christmas with its annual Christmas village, full of joy, delicious treats and fun Christmas wares, a splendour of lights and a world of wonder in Hellisgerði, Hjartasvelli and so much more.
The Christmas village at Thorsplan in Hafnarfjörður will be open every weekend from 17 November; Fridays from 5 pm to 8 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 1 pm to 6 pm until Christmas, and until 9 pm on Christmas Eve. The Christmas Village is a hive of festive activity, and the beautifully decorated Christmas houses of Hafnarfjörður have long been nationally renowned for a wide variety of exciting gifts, gourmet treats, crafts and design. It's the perfect place to find the ideal Christmas present while enjoying delicious food and drink to warm you from the inside out. Father Christmas visits on Saturdays, and Grýla will be roaming the town on Sundays. Strandgata becomes a pedestrianised street while the Christmas Village is open.
- Friday from 5 pm - 6 pm – The Prince Polo electric bread will be in the area, along with Father Christmas.

- Friday from 8 pm to 11 pm. Christmas karaoke at Hamrinn, the youth centre of Hafnarfjörður.
- Saturday from 1 pm to 9 pm. In the experience houses at Thorsplan, there will be, on the one hand, Trefjar with its fire pits, and on the other, guests will be offered drinks from Töst, Ölvisholti and Mekka.
- The Yule Lads will be visiting and Grýla will be roaming around town all day Saturday.
- Thursday to Saturday from 5 pm to 10 pm. The Christmas Heart of Hafnarfjörður in an Advent festival tent behind the Bæjarbíó. Ideal for mums and dads, grandmas and grandpas, and groups of friends to come along and enjoy a bite to eat and a Christmas drink.
