Hafnarfjörður Multicultural Forum

Come to the 2026 Hafnarfjörður Multicultural Forum, which will be held at Hafnarborg on 16 April from 18:00 to 20:30. The forum is a platform for residents, community organisations and staff to discuss diversity, community participation, and how to foster a good society for all.

The aim is to create an open dialogue about the state of multiculturalism in Hafnarfjörður, the challenges faced by people of different backgrounds, and the opportunities that a diverse society offers. The emphasis will be on solutions, collaboration, and services that are inclusive of everyone.

The programme includes short presentations, round tables and discussion workshops where participants can share their perspectives. Interpreters in Spanish, Polish and Arabic will be on hand to ensure that as many people as possible can take full part. Your opinion matters. Food and childcare from Plánetu will be provided during the conference.

The goal is to foster an open dialogue about the state of multiculturalism in Hafnarfjörður, the challenges faced by people of different backgrounds, and the opportunities that a diverse society can offer. The focus will be on practical solutions, collaboration, and services that reach all groups.

This forum is a space for residents, community organisations and workers to meet and discuss diversity, social engagement and building a good society for all.

Our aim is to create an open dialogue about multiculturalism in Hafnarfjörður, the challenges faced by people from diverse backgrounds, and the opportunities arising from social diversity. We place a particular emphasis on solutions, collaboration and services available to all.

The programme includes short talks on topics important to our community, discussion groups, and workshops where participants can share their perspectives. Spanish, Polish and Arabic interpreters will be available on site so that as many people as possible can fully participate in the event. Your opinion matters.

Refreshments and childcare, organised by the Pláneta project, will be provided for the duration of the forum.
