An open house will be held on Tuesday, 10th September from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Norðurhellu 2, 221 Hafnarfjörður, where the proposal for an amendment to the 2013–2025 Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður concerning Þorlákstún can be viewed.

Þorlákstún is defined as a Forestry and Land Reclamation Area (SL4) in the 2013-2025 Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður. According to the proposal, the land use is to be changed to residential development, becoming part of the Hvaleyrarholt IB7 residential area. A development of up to 50 homes is planned, which will fit in well with the adjacent area, while utilising a large part of Thoralavík for outdoor recreation and play.
