Open house for the I4 industrial estate and Álhellu 1

There will be an open house on Wednesday, 6th December. from 9:00 – 16:00 at Norðurhellu 2, 221 Hafnarfjörður, where you will be able to view the proposal for an amendment to the Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður for Industrial Area I4 and an amendment to the detailed plan for Kapelluhraun, Phase 2, for Álhellu 1. This concerns a 1.2-hectare expansion of the I4 industrial area into an undeveloped area to the east, due to the enlargement of the Álhellu 1 plot. The planned facility at Álhellu 1 is a recycling centre, and the project includes, amongst other things, the reception and storage of scrap metal, including vehicles, for export, along with the installation of a metal shredder. Answers will be available to questions relating to this planning proposal.
