perceptual game
Have you heard of a sensory play? Jorika and Sigurður from Plánetu.is are coming to educate parents about sensory play for toddlers.
When children are born, they immediately begin to explore the world. To do this, they use their senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste, but movement and balance also play a major part. This is the natural way to learn and understand the world around them.
Sensory play is designed to stimulate the senses and thereby promote a child's healthy development. It is not only fun, but also beneficial for their mental and physical development.
A sensory game helps to build vocabulary and is good for motor skills, but a sensory game can take various forms, e.g. various kinds of experiments, practising counting or using sensory tools to induce relaxation in the child.
