Svavar G. Jónsson's interest in photography has now led to him owning well over six hundred cameras, the oldest of which dates from 1896. He plans to exhibit the collection at the Ban Kúnn restaurant on Museum Night 2025, on 7 February, and tell stories.
„The origins of this collection can be traced back to a „photography craze“ I got around my confirmation! Yes, that was almost 60 years ago, so the collection contains a bit of everything,“ says Svavar. His cameras date from 1896 to the present day.
