In this exhibition, visitors are invited to a funfair where the surroundings are bathed in a rose-pink glow. Objects, people and animals appear in a distorted way for amusement, and the vibrancy of the colours is turned up to the max. The colour pink is particularly used to highlight beauty and longing.
However, while we are entertained, much passes us by. In the anarchy of the pictures and sculptures, the unpredictable consequences of giving in to temptation also lurk. By mirroring that which is created to be enjoyable and desirable, I wish to ask: What do we truly long for, and what does desire leave behind?

In this exhibition, visitors are invited into a carnival where the surroundings are bathed in a pink glow. Objects, people and animals appear in distorted forms for entertainment, and the brightness of the colours is turned up to the extreme. The colour pink in particular is used to highlight beauty and desire.
Yet while we have fun, much escapes our attention. Within the chaos of the images and sculptures lie the unpredictable consequences that follow when we allow ourselves to be tempted. By reflecting back what is created to be entertaining and desirable, I ask: what do we truly long for, and what does that longing leave behind?
