Sunday, 23rd March at 8 p.m. Concert at Hafnarborg Bjargar Brynjarsdottir, flautist and Ingibjorg Elsa Turchi, a bass player and composer. New works, the result of their fruitful collaboration, will be performed. The concert is part of Hafnarborg's contemporary music series, Hljóðönum. The title of the concert, „Blöndun/Fusione“, is taken from a solo piece for bass flute which Ingibjörg Elsa Turchi wrote especially for Björg Brjánsdóttir at the time, marking the beginning of their collaboration. The title also bears strong witness to the collaboration, as both of their musical backgrounds cover a wide area of soundarts. They have worked together on new works in recent semesters, which will be premiered by the composers at the concert, alongside this inaugural piece for their collaboration.

Tickets are on sale at Hafnarborg: the general admission price is 2,500 króna, and the price for senior citizens and students is 1,500 króna.

Hljóðön, Hafnarborg's contemporary music concert series, is dedicated to the music of the 20th and 21st centuries, where the unique imagination and artistic struggle of composers lead audiences into previously uncharted territory. The concert series has been part of Hafnarborg's programme since 2013.
