Bjartir dagar is a cultural festival that reflects the diverse cultural activities taking place in Hafnarfjörður, organised by institutions, voluntary associations, businesses and individuals. Bjartir dagar begins on the town's birthday, 1 June.
As is tradition, the Year 3 pupils will sing in the summer at Thorsplan under the direction of Guðrún Árný. The flamingos, Pétur and Magnús, will entertain the children, and Sirkus Ananas will put on a fun circus show.
Then, nursery school children decorate businesses, shops and institutions in Hafnarfjörður with their art all over the town.
