Jónatan Garðarsson leads a walk through the lava fields from Straumur to Óttarsstaðir and talks about the history of the area. The lava fields captivate many, and the walk will last for about an hour, starting from Straumshúsið and heading to Brunntjörn, Sigurðarhella, Kúarrétt, down to Tjörvagerði and the German Bungalow, before returning back. The walk will start from the car park at Straumur.
Participation is free and everyone is welcome!
Cultural and Health Walks 2023
This summer, guided town walks are offered every Wednesday. The walks are a collaboration between the Hafnarfjörður Library, the Hafnarfjörður Folk Museum, Hafnarborg and the Healthy Town of Hafnarfjörður. Most walks take about an hour.
