Sketches // Sigurjón Már Svanbergsson
Sketching is not about precision but rather about capturing the main points, form and movement on paper. To achieve this…
The Kennel Club of Iceland's first outdoor show weekend of the summer will be held in Víðistaðatún, Hafnarfjörður; this time, there will be two shows. On Saturday, there will be the NKU Nordic Show and the Reykjavík Winner, and on Sunday, an international show. A junior handler competition will be held on both days.
Entries for the shows exceeded all expectations, but an additional judge was added at the close of entries to accommodate more. On Saturday, 1,040 dogs are entered, along with 32 junior exhibitors, and on Sunday, 1,030 dogs are entered, with 24 junior exhibitors. All judging rings start at 9:00 a.m. on both days, and the finals are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. on both days. They are expected to last until approximately 6 p.m.
Visitors have the opportunity to meet dogs and talk to owners, breeders and exhibitors. Please note that dogs running loose in the area are strictly forbidden; all dogs must be kept on a lead and are the sole responsibility of their owners.
