Save the date for the Vegan Festival 🌱
The Vegan Society of Iceland is pleased and delighted to announce that once again the Vegan Festival will be held with pomp and splendour!
The fun will start at 12:00 on a sunny Sunday (we have sent in a strongly worded weather request) and will last until 16:00, even 17:00 if the weather is good!
🌟 This is the 10th time the festival has been held, and all previous occasions have exceeded our wildest expectations.
In recent years, attendance has been around 1,000 people, according to an informal estimate by the City of Hafnarfjörður. Usually, almost all the food sells out, and the businesses produce considerably more than they estimate they will sell. We therefore encourage people to arrive in good time.
🍕 A wide variety of food will be on sale: ice cream, Colombian food, Transylvanian cakes, Hungarian flatbreads, Vietnamese dishes, pastries and cakes, and coffee drinks.
It's not just food, but also other vegan products, so there's plenty to look at and discover.
🏰 For younger members of the community, there are bouncy castles, a sensory experience and face painting.
🎶 Ragga Gröndal will sing, as it has become something of a tradition to have her satin-smooth voice warm the guests' hearts. Later, Gunnar Hilmarsson and Jóhann Guðmundsson will create a cosy atmosphere with their velvety and jazzy tones.
Welcome, share far and wide and bring along everyone who enjoys life! 🌱
We look forward to spending time together and hope to see as many of you as possible.
Kind and green regards,
The SGÍ Board
