Hrafnhildur's fantastic achievement
A reception was held at Ásvallalaug when Hrafnhildur Lúthersdóttir returned home from the European Swimming Championships.
The City of Hafnarfjörður, ÍBH and the Hafnarfjörður Swimming Club welcomed the swimming queen Hrafnhild Lúthersdóttir from the Hafnarfjörður Swimming Club at Ásvallalaug yesterday, 24th May. Hrafnhildur won two silver and one bronze medal at the European Swimming Championships in London last weekend and is now ranked among the world's top ten female swimmers. She will now resume her intensive training, with the Rio Olympic Games in August fast approaching.
In recognition of this fantastic achievement and to support Hrafnhildur in her preparations for the Olympic Games, the City of Hafnarfjörður has decided to award her a performance grant of 750,000 kr.
