Zonal redistribution of suction
A specific work plan is followed, which involves sweeping all neighbourhoods between 2 April and 2 May. Signs are put up for each neighbourhood the day before sweeping, and residents are also sent a text message to let them know their area is scheduled to be swept. Residents are kindly asked to take an active part to ensure the best possible results. It is essential that the streets are clear of cars on the day of sweeping so that the kerb edges can be swept. Residents and business staff are also welcome to take the opportunity to sweep around their own properties. This will make the entire area look much tidier. Once the street sweeping is complete, high-pressure washing, sweeping of main roads and major collector roads, and the cleaning of central reservations will begin. A work schedule is set out, subject to change, primarily due to weather (frost) and delays with the contractor responsible for the sweeping.
