The Christmas town of Hafnarfjörður colours life
Christmas is steadily making its way across Hafnarfjörður. Over the next few days, the council's staff will be putting up Christmas decorations all over town. New lights and decorations will be added gradually over the coming days and weeks.
The Hafnarfjörður Christmas magazine will be published in mid-November and, as in the last four years, will be full of warm-hearted content about the town's rewarding and good projects, progressive Hafnarfjörður businesses, and the people who make up the town.
Yes, it's not just the Heart of the City and the Christmas Village on Thorsplan with all their beautifully decorated Christmas houses and Christmas cheer that adorn the Christmas town. Hellisgerði is also in full preparation. There will be a catering outlet run by A. Hansen, making wonderful family times in the pleasure garden possible.
An appeal to the town's residents and businesses
The days are starting to get shorter and for many, the time for Christmas lights is drawing near. The City of Hafnarfjörður encourages the people of Hafnarfjörður to put up their Christmas lights as soon as possible!
Council staff are steadily working their way through the town, installing lights in busy locations and open spaces. All of this is done with the aim of delighting the eye and the spirit, and promoting a positive experience and enjoyment for those passing through the town, whether on foot, running, cycling or driving.
Let's dress Hafnarfjörður in its festive best and take part!
