Master plan
The Master Plan for Hafnarfjörður sets out the vision for the kind of town we want to build in the coming years: what our objectives are, how we intend to achieve them, and what the associated costs will be.
What is a master plan?
Master planning is about the people who live in the town and have to live in the environment we create for ourselves. It is also about what businesses the town wants to attract to create jobs and income for the local authority, and to help shape our environment. It is also about finance, because without funding, it is not possible to build the town we desire.
