Stay alert — Potholes
The snow melts and the grey tarmac is left behind. Sometimes there's a slight frost, but then you can expect potholes to appear on the town's streets. Council staff are on duty and respond quickly. Please report the location of any potholes as soon as possible.
Let us know about the holes
Municipal workers are on duty and respond quickly when they receive reports of potholes in the town's tarmac. They carry repair tarmac on the back of their vehicle and fill the potholes. The potholes are then permanently repaired as soon as possible. Often the weather dictates the process.
We point out the holes
If residents notice a pothole in the tarmac, it is worth reporting its location as soon as possible so that as few people as possible are affected. You can send a report via Suggestion portal or by calling 585 5670. Outside normal working hours, the emergency number should be used.
Report any damage
Council staff respond quickly, filling in or placing signs to warn drivers before any damage occurs. If damage has already occurred, it must also be reported to the council's insurance company, which will decide whether or not the council is liable. Report damage.
Please note that the council is not liable for compensation if the pothole was not known about. So, let's help to minimise the damage.
